Vastu Shastra for Land Selection in Sri Lanka (Basics)
Even if you don't believe in it, your future buyer might.
In Sri Lanka, a land with "bad Vastu" sits on the market for months. A land with "good Vastu" sells instantly. Ignoring these basic principles is a financial risk.
1. The Shape of the Land
- Good: Square or Rectangular. Stability.
- Okay: Wider at the back (Gaumukhi - Cow Face). Preserves wealth.
- Bad: Wider at the front (Vyaghramukhi - Lion Face). Wealth drains away. Irregular/Triangle shapes.
2. Slope Direction
Water acts as wealth.
- Best: Land slopes down towards North/East.
- Worst: Land slopes down towards South/West. (Vastu Consultants imply this drains health/money).
3. The Road (Veedi Shula)
Avoid "T-Junctions" where the road hits your land directly.
- Veedi Shula: If a road runs straight into your main gate, it's considered an "arrow" of bad energy.
- Impact: Harder to sell later.
4. Soil Check
- White/Red Soil: Good.
- Black/Clay/Ashy Soil: Generally avoided (also bad for construction foundation!).
